Hot Yoga

Synchronizing breath & movement to improve flexibility, strength, muscle tone and aid relaxation of both body and mind. Using a series of linked asanas (poses) this class will push you to improve your body whilst still keeping with the traditional Yoga principles. Carried out under specialist Infra red heaters you will find your muscles and joints warm up quicker, you work up a sweat and burn more calories whilst detoxifying the body from within. Ashtanga Yoga

is a system of yoga translated to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced more passive style of yoga, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. For beginners, asanas may be held from one to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. The sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body known as meridians in Chinese medicine and as nadis in hatha yoga.

Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fasciae, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, its goals are awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.

Slow Flow Yoga

This is a weekly favorite class at the studio on Sundays. Using Hatha and restorative yoga postures to move, stretch and unwind before the week ahead.

Pilates is a physical fitness system that was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. Pilate’s classes build strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine, rather than on bulking and shortening the muscles, to give a full body work out.

Pilates Equipment

1 Hour small group class using the Pilates Reformer, Wunda Chair, and Barrel to work your body from all angles. Create lean, longer muscles and improve your posture and body awareness in a small group class of no more than 3 people.

Calm Courses

Yoga for the Overwhelmed

Calm your mind and find relief from anxious thoughts. Breathe and let go of worry using Pranayama (Breath Control) Yoga Asana (postures) and Meditation techniques.

Each week we will cover different Yogic techniques to help you relax, restore and calm your body and mind.

This is delivered over 4 weekly classes each month. Course dates for 2020 below…..

Post Natal Pilates 

Pilates classes where Mum’s can bring their baby along with them. Designed to ease you back into exercise post birth with our pre and post natal Pilates specialist teachers Katie and Vicky, whilst meeting other likeminded mum’s.
