yoga-tree-pose-02Millfield Fitness Studio are hosting a weekend of Yoga, Pilates, Relaxation, Meditation and delicious healthy food set in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. The country house of Barmoor is in a stunning, peaceful and calming place just a five minute walk from the small village of Hutton-le-Hole. For over 100 years it has provided an inspiring and relaxing place for people to nourish themselves spiritually, physically and emotionally while connecting with the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors.

The separate Yoga/Pilates room has wooden floors, high ceilings and large floor to ceiling windows with open views to the moors making it the perfect place to deepen your Yoga & Pilates practice.

With a focus on Yoga, Pilates and general wellbeing guests will leave on Sunday feeling, relaxed, re-energised and motivated to continue with a healthier & more balanced lifestyle.

Throughout the weekend you will be eating carefully planned nutritious meals, juices & smoothies to help support your Yoga & Pilates practice, also giving you ideas for recipes to try when back home. We will be providing both meat & vegetarian options and some gluten free options too If you have a specific dietary requirement please get in touch as we will do our best to ensure everyone is catered for appropriately.

Other activities – We will also offer the option to join us for a walk around the beautiful local area, the option to participate in a group fitness activity or you can just relax and watch the world go by.

8am – Vinyasa Yoga followed by meditation & relaxation

11.00am – Pilates Workshop 1

2.00pm – Optional Afternoon walk, Group Fitness activities or free time

4.30pm – Pilates Workshop 2 followed by – Ayurvedic & Natural Remedies for good health

6.30pm – Evening Meal

7.30pm – Yoga Pranayama & Nidra (Yoga Breath & Deep Relaxation/Meditation)

8.30pm Onwards – Group Social Activities or free time

Sunday

8.00am – Vinyasa Yoga followed by meditation & relaxation

9.30am – Healthy Breakfast with Juice/Smoothie Workshop

11.00am – Pilates Workshop 3

12.30pm – Healthy Lunch

1.30pm – Final Yoga Workshop with relaxation

3pm- Depart Barmoor

Weather dependant we hope to do a combination of indoor and outdoor Yoga & Pilates workshops throughout the weekend.

 

Meet Your Retreat Team-

debbieDebbie Jenkins- Debbie has 15 years’ experience coaching both adults and children’s exercise, Yoga, Nutrition and Dance in the community, schools and private health clubs. Fitness manager for 3 years at Courtney’s Fitness centre followed by 5 years for York Schools as Community Dance & Health Related Exercise Officer & finally setting up Millfield Fitness Studio in 2011. Debbie is a highly regarded fitness trainer & Yoga Instructor in York and can’t wait to meet you at Barmoor. Debbie will be running the Yoga & Nutrition based workshops.

 

lucyLucy Nickson- Lucy discovered Pilates through her Performance Training. Her skills as performer and passion for fitness combine to make her a motivational, engaging and fun teacher. After qualifying as Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor she also trained as a Barre Concept Instructor. Having worked for a year in a Hot Yoga Studio in London, Lucy re-located to York and now works in partnership with Debbie running Millfield Fitness Studio.

Lucy will be running the Pilates based workshops.

 

 

Meet & Greet

We will host a pre retreat welcome meeting in May 2017 so you can meet the instructors and other guests. The date of this meet up will be arranged once all places confirmed and paid.

Food & Refreshments

The food will be fresh, home cooked and wherever possible, organic. Tea, coffee, none alcoholic drinks and fresh fruit will be available throughout the weekend. If you do feel the need for treats there is a lovely cafe in the centre of Hutton-le-Hole.

Accommodation

Barmoor offers very simple accommodation, each room sleeps 2 people with shared bathrooms and guests are reminded to bring their own bedding. Some 3 bedded rooms are available.

Do I need to have practiced Yoga/Pilates before?

No we welcome beginners up to those who already practice or attend classes regularly. We have kept the numbers to a level where we can ensure lots of personal & group attention where needed.

Payment & Booking Information

Costs:

The cost of the weekend is £170.00 with a £30.00 deposit due at the time of booking to secure your place and the remainder of the balance due by 1st April 2017. Although Barmoor sleeps 27 people the Millfield Fitness June 2017 retreat will be limited to just 15 on a first come first served basis.
